The Victorian,Circa 1898, is an elegantly restored Victorian house, twenty-five miles from downtown Baton Rouge, located in the beautiful and peaceful countryside of St Francisville.

The Victorian prides itself in excellence in making your wedding enjoyable and memorable. With its location nestled among the trees in the beautiful countryside of the Felicianas, our venue offers an exciting departure from the crowded city. The Victorian allows opportunities for personalized indoor and outdoor weddings and receptions, customized to your needs and desire. The facility offers numerous possibilities for conducting the ceremony. Wedding could be conducted inside the century plus old house, in its original gazebo, on the spacious deck overlooking the pond with its lighted fountains or in the front porch of the magnificent main house. We look forward to being a part of your wedding and reception and are determined to make it unique, impressive and memorable.
HISTORY OF THE VICTORIAN
The original Tillery home of Greensburg, Louisiana along with its century old gazebo, was transplanted in the early 1990's to St. Francisville. The home (circa 1898) is a three-story Victorian house with a widows walk. The home was meticulously renovated by Drs. Menon in 2009 with the help of architect Bobby McKenzie and interior designer Renee Granier. Charlotte Harris designed the custom draperies which provide colorful accents to the windows. Throughout the house, thick Persian carpets, paintings, luxuriant window treatments and ornate period furnishings impart a touch of the exotic. The wraparound porch overlooks an outdoor bandstand and a gazebo, which is surrounded by the paved courtyard-cum-dance floor. Near the bandstand is a large lake with two lighted fountains and twin decks extending out into the lake, surrounded by beautiful landscaping that is lit at night. Set on 9 acres of landscaped property, this 12,000 square foot house has extensive handicapped access and parking for four hundred guests. This functional, versatile and beautiful vintage house is shared with the community by opening it up for weddings and events.
